it is possible that we will get EEG test results tomorrow. if not we'll get it by Monday. he had a few clear moments today.
he did not pass the sip test, but it seems he has a 'delayed' swallow and so we are encouraged to practice with him. the specialists said to bring in a Popsicle or something like a lollipop to help his mouth to salivate and swallow. he can have ice chips (the nurses know where to get them) one or two at once. he'll chew the ice, then ask him to swallow the water. we can spoon feed him water, wait, and  ask him to swallow. he'll cough and that's great. do this just a few times in a row and give him a rest. this whole practice can happen a few times a day.
he's sleeping now and had a great day seeing Bill Prinzmetal . staff here asked if they were brothers.
