All doctors stopped by today.
cardiologist is waiting for Dads kidneys to show better results.
they can look at his heart with the non - invasive imaging, but they will get better results giving him the dye and even more info from the cardiac cath, where they can take tissue samples of his heart.
the last two being very hard on his kidneys and over all body. they also said they might not have to do the procedures.
kidney doctor is sending Dad back into dialysis. they are starting more intensive dialysis today as well.
kidney doctor also would like to do a biopsy of dads kidney because they don't know why its doing what it is doing/not doing. the tissue might hold clues. we need dad to agree to do the biopsy, but his ICU psychosis(and perhaps his rational mind also) is making him very paranoid about any procedure.
i asked for a time line again and they said they are still in 'wait and see' mode, kidneys first, heart second, swallowing must improve, fingers last, then he can get out of here. it might be days or more than a week.
i will call the social worker and see if we can get a medical advocate that can make sense of all this information.
we are watching the news about Egypt and the nurse is doing a great job explaining to him whats happening when.
