Abigail writing here 4:55pm  Tuesday Feb 8.
the nurse Rami really helped and had Dad sit up in a big wheel chair type contraption, out of bed for the first time in 17 or 18 days.  He got to look out the window; it's hard for him to hold his head up. It's good for him to get out of bed.
Dad also chewed gum! the nurse thought we should try it, so Besty went out and bought some. Dad was yelling to hurry up and give him the damn gum! he chewed it and was happy with it. the nurse was ready with the suction pick in case he choked, but he handled it fine.
he had another 4 hour session of dialysis today.
maybe again tomorrow.
i have to go home tonight because i am very exhausted from little sleep last night here. At 4am Dad said
"Abigail?" "yes", i answered, "are you hungry?" "No Dad, i'm not. Are you hungry?"  "oh yes."
Around 7am he saw me again and asked when i got here!
