Abby here- its nearly midnight. Dad is doing better in some regards.
his legs and feet have been brothering him and i wonder if its the scleroderma.
but seems in less pain over all and has stopped doing things like pleading to go home. he has been asking to eat various things and i think that is a positive sign. one nurse tonight said that was a good thing-- its bad when people stop wanting to eat.
He had dialysis today and will again tomorrow because he skipped many days due to his infection.
They are still waiting for the infection to clear up. They are trying a different kind of anti biotic as of a few days ago. if it does not clear up they will look at his heart with a camera again that they insert down his throat. very uncomfortable procedure.
lets hope it clears up.
Kris and i had a meeting with the ombudsman today. we brought up all our concerns. Cathy Parker started with the the head nurse tonight and they are having only nurses that have worked on him already and they are going to try and stay on more days in a row. the nurses tonight are already great and had seen him before. his tube was getting clogged  again-- and she worked on it using warm water and unclogged it. it took maybe 20 mins. and then she came back and gave him his meds. i thanked her for not giving up and making time to fix it.

nurse strike on Wednesday! they will have traveling nurses to take care of patients. the whole hospital is gearing up for this. this should be interesting. i want the story!
