What does it mean if you mis-spell the name of a long time friend?

Debby,

I know how to spell your name ... but apparently not late at night.
I'm so sorry. Time to go to bed. I guess we're all under too much
stress now.

    Hi Kathy,
    Bill's sister, Betsy Ryland, is arriving late Friday night (from Georgia) and I expect will be at the hospital all day on Saturday. Thank goodness, because what Abigail needs is a chance to get back here to sleep and change and relax but she doesn't want Bill to be alone. She is at the hospital now (8 am Friday), and has been there since Wednesday afternoon, plus she was there all night 2 nights earlier in the week.
    Visits are very welcome and they will be happy to see you.

    Kathy, Turns out Bill's sister's flight was cancelled due to fog so she's flying out tomorrow (Saturday 2/5). Kris will be there about 9 in the morning. Glad you'll be able to visit.
