Today Friday the 4th 8:30am: the EEG is happening right now as i write this. we'll hopefully have results on Monday. EEG will be able to detect other damage or problems like dementia developing separately from everything else.
his kidneys may have to be flushed for his brain's sake and so they can look at his heart using a substance that his kidneys need to expel. they will do a 'echo Gram' (again not the correct name), an image of his heart.
another 'throat' specialist (different than the sip test expert) will look at his throat and hopefully be able to clean it out. i have been slowly using the suction pick and a wet sponge to get out what i can over the last 24 hours, but there is much more in there stuck and i am happy they are addressing this. the tube and the alternative that is very invasive and risks infection, are both not ideal, just hope he gets his swallow back.
i apologize for not getting the correct medical language. so much information is tossed at me at once and everyone is in a hurry, so I'm trying to keep up, I'll try to get the correct names for things as they happen.
